Come and Join us for a summer outing to:-
Elbury Farm, Broadclyst on June 29th.
Enjoy a form walk and talk in the beautiful Devon countryside and see how our wildlife can be encouraged on a working farm.
Elbury Farm is a tenanted mixed/arabl farm, part of the Killerton Estate.
The land had previously been intensively farmed and over the last decade the Kittows have encouraged wildlife with field margins, pond scrapes and coppiced areas, togther with hedge and tree planting.
Learn about the creation of otter holts along the Crannaford Brook and the re-instatement of a traditional orchard.
Children most welcome but must be accompnaied by an adult.
Dogs on leads only as this is a working farm, but please be aware, they will NOT be allowed in the yard for the talk whcih will take approximately 20 minutes.
If anyone would like to come but have walking difficulties, please contact us beforehand so that you can be accommodated.
There is no charge as Elbury Farm participates in the the government Educational Access Scheme, so bring a picnic and enjoy an inexpensive but informative evening out.
