After 8 Club

We are a ladies group which meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday in the month at 8pm for talks, slide shows, demonstrations etc.on a wide range of topics and occasionally we have an evening trip out.
 
We also have various annual events.
 
In the spring we have the 'Pancake Fun Day'.  This is held in the village hall on the Saturday just before or after Shrove Tuesday.
 
We have pancakse races for all ages, a rafle, tombola stall, refreshments etc.
 
From the money raised we make a small donation to a local children's charity.
 
In the evening we have our annual dinner, somethimes with a speaker.  
 
Members can bring along their husband, partner or a friend.
 
We have a Saturday day trip in the summer, which is open to anyone.
 
On August Bank Holiday Monday at the village fayre we organise the flower and produce show.
 
Finally a the end of the yeat we have our December meeting which is usually a social evening when we invite new neighbours.

• Thursday 10th September - Jeff Merrett MBE - Dream-a-way Charity - a local charity dedicated to providing holidays and outings to local people of all ages with special needs.

• Thursday 8th October - Sue Gillison - working with Romanian Children

• Thursday 12th November - Wayne Hurren with Donna - Hearing dogs for the deaf

• Thursday 10th December - Social Evening
