Bellringing at Plymtree

Trainee Ringers Wanted !

Our parish church St John the Baptist had its first three bells installed in 1432 AD and a further three later (1549, 1669 and 1895 AD). That’s enough history for now!

Our bells will usually be heard on Wednesday evening between 8pm and 9pm. This is our practice and training session, made possible by outside local assistance since we do not at present have enough Plymtree ringers and are constantly seeking newcomers willing to learn the art of ringing. With outside help we manage to ring for weddings and special services.
